The pace of modern business often leaves insufficient time for exploration of alternatives. Decisions must be made and actions taken. The BSL DBA programme is for those successful business people who would like to apply their knowledge and experience to the intellectual exercise of thoroughly researching a topic; something there is not often the opportunity to do.

Under the guidance of a highly qualified, business practitioner, the DBA candidate discovers the excitement that comes when the mind is allowed to wander the unexplored pathways at the boundaries of knowledge. The challenge comes in turning what is found there into practical proposals.

The DBA is awarded on the basis of a thesis written under the guidance of a senior member of the BSL faculty as adviser.

You'll need :
A Master's degree in business or a business related subject from a recognised university or institution, a minimum of five years working experience in a senior management position, supported by letters of recommendation.

People without a Master's degree will be accepted on proof of a minimum of ten years working experience in a senior management position and university-level education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree, e.g. CPA, CA, Professional Engineer.
